Did you say Therapy?
The Achieve team offers the best of the best when it comes to therapists, the knowledge they possess, and the quality of care they all provide.
The below list is merely a sample of what we can offer and perform for you. These can each drastically benefit you, improve your well-being, and help you reach your optimal performance. Reach out if you're interested in getting better today!
MAT
MAT stands for Muscle Activation Techniques. This special type of therapy is unique to Achieve in the state of Nebraska. MAT is a manual type of therapy that identifies weaknesses, activates muscles, restores function, and gets you back to living your best life. We get you better by treating neurological muscle dysfunctions and imbalances found throughout your body - sort of like a system of checks and balances. We'd love for you to see the benefits of MAT!
Dry Needling
Dry needling is a low-risk treatment to assist in alleviating pain and trigger point stiffness. The thin, fine needles inserted in your skin stimulate your muscles by making them contract or twitch. While ranging in level of mild discomfort, dry needling is highly requested and recommended for its degree of effectiveness.
Cupping
Cupping therapy uses special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. In addition to increasing blood flow and circulation, cupping helps with inflammation, range of motion, tightness, and pain relief. While bruising is often noticeable afterward, pain is not as common for this type of deep-tissue massage.
Kinesiology Taping
Kinesiology taping is a rehabilitation method with therapeutic effects. This unique type of tape is made out of cotton and nylon to be elastic and flexible. There are a plethora of ways to tape someone or some area, depending on where and what the purpose is. Taping is often used to aid in stability, posture, circulation, pain relief, swelling reduction, and much more.
Did you say Recovery?
In tandem with the work our therapists provide, we also have several recovery tools to aid you. Each is beneficial to your health and overall wellness. Utilizing these techniques and interventions allows you to optimize your body's potential.
Everyone can benefit from the following recovery tools to provide a reset period from your day-to-day and injury riggers. Check out what we have here at Achieve!
Blood Flow Restriction
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training involves a blood pressure cuff that safely restricts and compresses the blood vessels underneath. It tricks the body into thinking you're working harder than you are by limiting the blood flow during the performed exercises. BFR improves strength, muscle endurance, and muscle activation - among many other positive results.
Red Light Bed Therapy
Red Light Therapy (RLT) - also referred to as photobiomodulation - exposes your skin to low levels of red and near-infrared light for a set time. By penetrating the skin, RLT works to rejuvenate the body and provide more energy. Laying in our red light bed can enhance skin complexion (such as wrinkles, stretch marks, acne, scars, or wounds), repair tissue, reduce inflammation, increase blood flow, and many other benefits. RLT does not expose your skin to damaging UV rays.
Compression
Compression therapy involves compression sleeves that surround, enclose, and inflate using compressed air to provide a deep-pressure massage. This ultimate massage experience reduces swelling, inflammation, and soreness while accelerating recovery by increasing circulation, improving mobility, and enhancing performance. We have sleeves for arms/shoulders, low back/hips, and ankles/legs to soothe, relax, and calm the body.
Electrical Stimulation
Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim) is a safe and effective form of recovery therapy that works wonders for several conditions. E-Stim involves sending mild electrical pulses and currents through electrode pads placed around the body area receiving treatment. These pads can be placed essentially anywhere on the body, aiding muscles to contract properly. Offering different settings, wavelengths, and intensities, E-Stim helps stimulate weakened or injured muscles and manages pain by manipulating your muscles.
